While Japanese sword-cutting competitions have been popular for many decades, there has been little or no interest in exploring the cutting potential of Western swords until very recently. Now, in response to this awakening, Cold Steel® wants to encourage it by offering its own competition cutting sword. It is largely based on the Arbedo and is intended for competitions using ropes, mail tubes, tatami mats and similar soft targets. The thin, wide, double-edged blade is hand-forged from 1055 high-carbon steel with a hard spring temper and comes fully ground and polished.
