A collector's model of the German battleship Gneisenau from World War II was designed by the COBI company in a 1: 300 scale model. It consists of 2446 construction blocks and is 81 cm long. It faithfully reflects the proportions of the historic ship and retains all its essential elements, including armament. The Limited Edition of the ship includes a dedicated, exclusive figure: Admiral Günther Lütjens. The carefully designed collector's figure comes with a large block table with a historical map of "Operation Berlin" from 1941. It was the famous corsair rally in the Atlantic Ocean with the battleships Scharnhorst and Gneisenau! The exclusive figure with the map is strictly limited and available only in this set. In addition, the Limited Edition includes two black, laser-cut plates with an individual set number, name, scale and basic ship data. For each limited set we also provide a paper certificate of authenticity with the same individual number - which is on the plate and box - and with the signature of the President of the COBI company.
The block model of the Genisenau ship has been covered with high-quality prints that do not wear off even during use. Noteworthy is the intricately reproduced shape of the hull and attention to maintaining as many details as possible. The model has numerous moving parts such as: propellers, rudders, rotating turrets and gun barrels that can be raised and lowered. The set also includes a very stable and aesthetic black display stand with description plates with the name of the ship printed on it. Although the ship is very large, its construction is simple thanks to the intuitive instructions based on clear illustrations. Nearly 2,500 elements ensure many hours of construction and a detailed finished model! The Gneisenau ship is an ideal item for fans of history, military technology, military and marine engineering. After assembling the ship looks very impressive, attracts eyes and will surely become a treasured decoration of your collection, living room or your office! Express your passion and build history, piece by piece!
The Gneisenau was a WWII German battleship that entered service on May 21, 1938. Both Scharnhorst and Gneisenau were a new type of German battleship. They were characterized by greater size, speed and more powerful weapons. They were created in response to the expansion of the navy in France. Gneisenau took part in many combat operations, including the famous Operation Berlin in 1941, where it proved to be very effective. It was sunk on March 28, 1945 in Gdynia in order to block the port.
