M1 Carbine rifle

Produced by Winchester, USA 1942. Was used during WW2, primarily the troops in the rear ranks or of dressing that had a need for a smaller and more convenient tool than the much larger M1 Garand which otherwise was standard for the American infantry.

This carbine model M1A1 is the paratrooper model with folding stock and carry strap. Original rifle has to date sold over 6.25 million copies.
