Hanwei Monkey Katana

The Monkey Katana features a folded steel blade which combines outstanding performance with a superior tempering line (hamon). The blackened iron tsuba is showing two monkeys who are pillaging a peach tree. There is a peach decorating the fuchi and kashira.

Genuine same (ray-skin) was used for the tsuka of this samurai sword; the tsuka-ito is made of black premium Japanese cotton. The saya is lacquered in deep black and features a black cotton sageo.
