Orcrist - Thorin Oakenshield is an Elvish sword from Gondolin, friend of Glamdring, which came into the possession of Thorin Oakenshield son of Thrain son of Thror. One of our most beautiful collector's swords!

Orcrist was used in The Hobbit and was feared and called "Biter" by the goblins.

In Middle-Earth's third age, Thorin Oakenshield and his company of dwarves arrive at a troll lair in Rhûdaur. Thorin finds an ancient Elven sword called Orcrist (= Orc-cleaver), which was created by the High Elves of the West in Gondolin.
Thorin claims Orcrist for himself and vows to bond orcs with it again. He wields the sword throughout most of Quest of Erebor, wielding it against the orcs and goblins of the Misty Mountains.
The orcs fear and hate it in equal measure and call it Biter. Orcrist is lonely. The blade is sharp and curved on one side and straight along the spine, a design perfectly suited to killing orcs and goblins.
The metal nugget shows the heraldry of the House of Ecthelion, Lord of the Fountain. The steering wheel is made of a dragon tooth.
It is unclear whether this tooth was assembled before the Fifth Battle of the First Age, or first integrated after the fall of Gondolin, along with the inscriptions.

Elven runes on the sword:

The name Orcrist (= Orc-cleaver) can be read on the guard.

The inscription running along both sides of the blade has been translated as Serpent's Tooth.

This faithfully detailed replica is a reproduction of the actual movie prop created by Weta Workshop in New Zealand and used in the movie The Hobbit - An Unexpected Journey.
