This beautiful one-handed sword from the Viking Age is a reproduction of a find discovered in 1874 at the Gnёzdovo archaeological complex, near Smolensk, Russia, during the excavation of the C-15 burial mound. The remarkably well-preserved original piece, dated between the 10th and 11th centuries, was found embedded in the ground, near the urn containing the cremated remains of its presumed owner.
