This beautiful reconstruction of a one-handed Saxon sword is based on various preserved - or partially preserved - original examples from the 6th and 7th centuries. AD (Migration Period). In terms of shape, this one-handed sword is a classic example of a Germanic weapon from the Dark Ages.
It has a wooden grip, a short, heavy guard, a generously sized pin and a wide, straight, double-edged EN45 spring steel blade with a wide, long filler.
