The Battle of Stiklestad was St. Olav's last battle. It was a war of the old school, with two armies facing each other face to face and sword to sword. It was a brutal, bloody and deadly battle, at the end of which the mighty Olaf fell. He gained great fame for his heroic deeds and was eventually canonized as Saint Olaf.
