COBI-2254 - Opel Blitz 3600 WWII Truck Building Block
The Opel Blitz (German for "flash") was named after various light and medium-sized truck series built by the German Opel carmaker between 1930 and 1975.
The original logo of this truck, two stripes arranged loosely as a flash symbol in the form of a horizontally stretched letter "Z" is still displayed in the current Opel logo. In the years before World War II, Opel was Germany's largest truck manufacturer. The name Blitz was coined in a prize competition, first applied to the new Opel truck presented in November 1930. As part of the Nazi economy and the German weapons effort, the authorities ordered the construction of Opelwerk Brandenburg facilities in 1935, and until 1944 more than 130 were manufactured. 000 Lightning trucks and chassis.
